Kettlebell
In this full body bootcamp we will utilize the popular kettlebell from start to finish, in a high intensity, calorie burning, body sculpting workout. The kettlebell develops strength, while improving your cardiovascular conditioning, increasing flexibility and sculpting firm, toned and sexy bodies. Kettlebells are what we here at Me First Fitness are famous for and was voted Durham Region’s BEST BOOTCAMP in both 2010 and 2011. We offer 3 levels of difficulty, from beginner to intermediate to advanced classes where you will learn new moves and regardless of your fitness level, will feel comfortable and have room to improve.
Fit-Kick Bootcamp
In this Fitness Kickboxing Bootcamp your cardio and muscular endurance will be tested while you perfect your kick-boxing form and technique. You will learn valuable strikes including punches, kicks, elbows and knees and how to throw them safely and effectively. This is a non combat bootcamp and its primary focus is on your FITNESS level not fighting in the ring. You will also be given kick-boxing specific strength and conditioning drills and stretches to improve strength, endurance and flexibility.
Cardio Core
Enjoy a series of intense core body exercises focusing on the abs, obliques, lower back, hip flexors and glutes, while getting the most out of your heart and lungs. This bootcamp will develop core strength, while flattening tummies and strengthening your heart.
Body Blast
Body blast is a bootcamp like no other. In this class you will move from station to station completing high intensity interval circuits on some of the newest, most innovative and fun fitness products you have ever encountered. Full body, functional strength and conditioning are the focal point of this total body bootcamp. Your every day strength and cardio endurance will dramatically improve.
Power Abs
An intense 45 minutes of some of the craziest and most challenging abdominal exercises you will ever encounter. The amount of different abs exercises is pretty much endless. This Bootcamp is your way to a hard and sexy stomach.
Gentle Yoga
The balance yoga brings together is the connection between the physical, mental and inner body awareness. It creates a healthier and happier lifestyle and a new zest for life. All classes will involve a Hatha Flow suitable for beginner or advanced students.
Zumba
Zumba Fitness is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health. Zumba Fitness is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy ward-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive.
Resistance X
Resistance X is a total body workout involving the use of Stretch Tubes. This entire class is completed with stretch tubing and will not only target your strength and endurance but balance, flexibility and core conditioning. Various tubing is available for beginners to advance users. It’s a fast paced, innovative class with hundreds of different exercises you won’t see in any other classes.
Cardio Combat
This class is a fusion between cardio kickboxing (similar to Thai-Bo) and our Fit-Kick classes which involve 30 minutes of pad work and partner training. The first half of this class will focus on your form, technique while burning calories and moving your body with non-stop kicks, punches elbows and knees. While the second half of the class will allow you to put on the gloves and focus pads, allowing you to perfect your strikes with a partner.
Total Body Conditioning
TBC is a new class that involves NO equipment, no weights, NOTHING! This entire class will focus on a series of bodyweight exercises, plyometrics, cardio and stretching. There is no better way to get in the best shape of your life, than by lifting your own bodyweight. Modifications of every exercise will be provided so that beginners to advance alike can enjoy this bootcamp and continuously progress and find new challenges and add new degrees of difficulty.
